BIO
I am now 67 years old and have been an artist all of my life, working in painting, prints, drawing, mixed media, photography, film, multimedia environments and more. In 1977 I was invited to participate in The New Theater Festival TNT77, there I met Squat Theater and they saw my multimedia environment work and ask me to come to NYC with them. I moved there after the festival and worked building sets, working out ideas and then storyboarded, shot, edited, 90% of Andy Warhol's Last Love for the play of the same name by them. We were a creative center with Jean-Michel Basquiat, John Lurie, Richard Hambleton, Jim Jarmusch and many more always there as they blossomed and grew their work. That film was shown a few times at the Whitney and weekly at The Kitchen for a while.
Returned to Philadelphia and received # 1 rating for Brandywine Graphic Workshop's VAPS Visual Artist in Public Service for mural painting. Used 3D animation, eventually doing a large installation inside the Brooklyn Bridge for the Pew Trust, developing music, multimedia and my hand work. Performances at Fringe and local venues, I kept my life focused on aesthetic pursuit. Worked with Randy Dalton to start a venue for Philadelphia artists to perform in at the CEC Center which ran for decades. Participated in the Fringe again, FTE Floating Texture Ensemble with Steve Berkowitz and Scot Fisher. Worked doing TV commercial editing at Traces boutique also. Taught 3D at BCCC Bucks County Community College also GCIU Print Union for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware helping all union print businesses, Philadelphia Inquirer and more transition to digital production. American Banknote hired me to assist them in , 90% of NYSE certificates, 65% of the NASDAQ all American Express and Citicorp Travelers Checks, 65% of USPS postage stamps to digital.
